I've always loved growing things. While at home with my parents, I had my poor mother's house stuffed with houseplants. When I got my own house, I graduated to a backyard garden - along with the houseplants, of course. And about 7 years ago I became addicted to orchids. That being such an expensive proposition, winter sowing of seeds rings my chimes (uh oh - just gave away my age). I've sown perennial seeds indoors for several years, but have had only so-so luck. Maybe winter sowing is just the answer. Did I say that we've got 13.5 acres???? Think how much $$ I'll save :)
