Every year I grow an experiment crop in one area of the garden to see what I can add to get the most from my northern garden - this year a quick rotating bed of asian greens (great!) and a row of artichokes that produced dozens of chokes. Next year - hardy kiwi?

It keeps the gardening fun and challenging. I was amazed at the artichoke success, for example, and now I feel ready to try ANYTHING...
