My garden is on a corner, suburban lot, approximately 1/3 acre. My long term goal is to reduce the amount of lawn, its too much maintenance. The soil is orange, hard-packed Kansas clay and erosion is sometimes a problem , as the property slopes. My main gardening headache is the limestone rocks that Im always digging up.

Besides gardening, I also like to cross-stitch, make jewelery and hypertufa. Ive completed two mosaic projects but dont consider myself a mosaic-ist (is that a word?)

My family thinks I have P.A.D. (Plant Acquisition Disorder) as I have yet to encounter a plant that I didnt like. Except for Yucca!
