I just moved into a little house with a nice sunny south-facing front yard and a back yard with enough sunny space for vegetables. I built an unheated greenhouse and have four bins of red wigglers making compost for me. Am just starting to get into ornamentals.
This is my first year of getting serious about different varieties of tomatoes, but I am still clinging to my Better Boys --- I just can't imagine summer without them. (First grew them in 1983.) This year will grow seven varieties, just a couple plants each. I am also very fond of red raspberries and hollyhocks and four o'clocks and columbine and violas. And sugar snap peas. And beets.
In my other life I'm an art historian and work at a museum in Norfolk, Virginia.
