I have a very old house, and love to play in the dirt with my daughter (can't get my son to do some help, it seems even a 12 year old who is always looking for ways to earn money- isn't interested in pulling weeds.. It could be the low amount I offered) Luckily my daughter loves to help.. I have a 2acre lot that I'm trying to renovate the 4 main garden beds. I'm interested in learning from other gardeners in my area-

My rose garden collection (so far)
*David Austin English Roses-
*Healthy growth:
Heritate, Winchester Cathedral, Mary, Redoute, The Pilgrim,
Weak-
Evelyn.. I can't shovel prune it, because it gives me about 4 great roses on these spindly little branches-

Rosa glauca, Rosa rubrifolia ? Class ?
*Alba
Great Maiden Blush- (Ownroot, uncommonroses)
*Bourbon:
Honorine de Brabant
(somewhat healthy, considering I barely spray)
Variegata di Bologna
(healthy, need to learn how to pin the branches)
*Rugosa:
Henry Hudson- Own Root
F J Grootendorst- Own Root

Just ordered for Spring 05:
Ballerina, Paul Neyron, Ispahan, Apothecary Rose

Shrubs:
Viburnum Korean Spice
