We live on 68 acres in north Alabama. We have 5 horses (3 Tennessee Walkers, 2 quarter crosses), 2 dogs (a Rottie and a collie mix), 4 cats, 5 Muscovy ducks.

Have owned and ridden horses for about 25 years now, present big project is training two of the TWHs. The third TWH is retired, she has Cushings/IR so I am also learning about barefoot trimming and equine nutrition.

The two quarter crosses are pasture pets, one is permanently lame from a broken leg as a foal. The other, an Appy/QH, is recovering from a wire cut to the coronet band.

Interests include growing veggies, identifying, growing, and photographing native plants and trees, butterfly gardening, maybe keeping chickens and cows someday...
