Hi, My name is Melanie and I am a 47 year old female living on Long Island, New York. I stumbled upon this website while trying to coordinate medium stained maple cabinets with a granite counter top for my kitchen remodeling project. Since that time, ALL initial choices were changed completely (what a surprise!) and the project took way longer than I thought it would. My mantra each day is "It will be comfy and beautiful when it is finished". Though right now my favorite forums are Kitchens and Remodeling, I also enjoy other topics such as gardening, herbalism, nutrition, home decorating, nature photography, sustaining our environment, etc. I enjoy this site very much and I truly appreciate all of the members willingness to share photos and information regarding their kitchen remodeling projects.
