I have had a pond for 12yrs never satisfide with it always changing .this year putting in 18x18x4 to be below the 10x8x3 new waterfalls also.last year i lost all my fish but 2 to a great blue heron.my own falt my wisteria arbor broke which in turn knocked the head off of my wooden heron decoy. which i cleaned every thing up in afew days including the decoy .so while i decided wither to fix it or replace it the heron took advanage of no other heron at the ponds .which i lost about 50 fish in 3 days some where 8yrs old .so i did learn that a heron decoy works for keeping them away .
