Im Marcelo, previously living in West Palm Beach, but now relocated to the cool Pacific Northwest. Im a molecular biologist by training and tropical plant horticulture is a passionate hobby. Enjoy palms, rare and unusual ornamentals that few people know about, tropical fruits, tropical hardwoods, and tropicals with medicinal, agricultural or comestible interest. Most of all, Im partial to the Fabaceae, or legume family, since they include many of the plant kingdoms most spectacular ornamentals. Love to travel too, mainly to gawk at tropical plants. My last major trip was a trek through several SE Asian countries. Id love to do Madagascar one day. Give me a pair of shorts, good hiking boots, a hat and Ill be off ;-).
