I am a married guy who is trying to build a park out of a beautiful acre (400 linear feet along a road) of historic creekside land near my house, in the middle of the City of Atlanta. It has been neglected for at least 10 years and is completely overgrown with non-native species like bamboo, privet (3 kinds), euonymous, English ivy, and Japanese honeysuckle. Other than the trees, the only native plant in the area is poison ivy.

Well, I did find three little trilliums in the woods last week, huddled together against the Asian onslaught.
