I have a wonderful husband and 6 great furry children (2 horses, 3 dogs and a cat). I love to garden! I love seeing something beautiful and knowing that I had something to do with it. Well, ok, mostly God, but I did get to help him a little :-)

We started a new adventure in March 2003 and moved from our native Florida to the Smoky Mountains in rural Tennessee. I love it here!! Nice people, pretty country, its exciting. Since my house is built on mostly slate and a little clay, I followed Ruth Stouts No Till gardening advice this year for the first time, and had more veggies than I knew what to do with! I had lots more than anyone else around here that I know, which is amazing since I have no dirt to speak of! I loved being able to share with friends and put lots of tomatoes and peppers away in the freezer.
I am also winter sowing again this year. I did it last year and had so-so results. I will be trying better location and containers this year, and am excited to try again because it lets me garden over the winter. How fun is that!
I love gardenweb and all the interesting, knowledgeable generous people that I have met. We gardeners are good and generous souls, I think! Happy gardening everybody :-)
