We're empty nesters just beginning the process of building our last home. We have a large family, and we host a lot of big gatherings, so our everyday needs are small, but we also need to have room for the dinners for 25 people, too. We've picked out a small, "Country-Vicotrian" houseplan to which we will add a full basement.
We live in SE Washington, in the high desert, so we have weather from -15* to 115*.
As far as gardening, my husband and I have a deal. He mows and waters, I fertilize and do any actual gardening. Roses and begonias seem to like me, so I've pared my gardening down to mostly those two things.
My other passions include my family (four daughters, 9.5 grandchildren), listening to music and crocheting.
