Stumbled on Kitchens @ THS doing a Google search for online resources for DIY installation of kitchen cabinets. I registered soon thereafter and have been hooked ever since.

Our kitchen renovation was already planned out and cabinets, flooring, etc., were already purchased, so there wasn't much I could do to incorporate what I've been learning here. Thus, I am mostly a lurker. Nonetheless, one idea I was able incorporate was removing part of an interior wall to be able to recess the refrigerator. It is mid-October, 2004, as I write this, and we are only about 70% done (tear-out began end of June, 2004). We are doing it all DIY.
