I think I have a "collector's garden" as I find so many plants interesting and cannot resist to plant them in my little garden. Especially plants from the other side of the world ( i e southern hemisphere) fascinate me. My garden is situated in a river valley in the hillside near Cologne/Germany. The climate around Cologne is very mild compared to other German regions. However, in the hills it is a little cooler but mild enough to grow a wide range of exotic plants like gum trees, tree ferns and so forth. To make sure to attract wildlife my garden is also home to many native wildflowers which are often beautiful but usually not found in other gardens. I would like to like to get to know interested people from down-under and learn more about the plants from Australia and New Zealand and which ones I could try to grow hereabouts.
