2004: I m new to gardening and am definitely hooked. The most exciting gardening moment was finding my first earthworm in our compacted clay soil. The most gratifying moment was harvesting my first batch of compost. 2008: I lost 5 hardiness zones moving westward and while I look forward to relearning gardening again, I miss my old garden. Most of all, I miss winter sowing and growing toms. 2009: Our new home has a yard that has suffered years of neglect. There s a ton of home repair that needs to be completed first, before we can work on the yard. I can t wait! In the meantime, am getting acquainted with CA natives and doodling lots of plans
