For the past 10 years I have spent all my fee time in the yard. That is when I moved and the yard had a very few shrubs, lots of pecan trees, some grass and a very large vegetable garden. Lots of dirt with nothing; all of this on an acre lot. I have build walks, paths, flower beds and I am currently working on my second pond. I no longer have dirt with nothing. It now takes me longer to weed eat than to mow. But that is going to be my next project. I have monkey grass growing everywhere and there is no need to weed eat around it, so I plan to put out more.

All my children are grown and moved away. Just my husband and I now. He does not enjoy the outside projects so I only ask for his help when necessary. He does however enjoy the looks of our yard. I sometimes enlist the help of our sons, it is less stressful.
