I recently bought a 1941 ex state brick and tile house on the side of one of Auckland's 47 volcanoes. I have spent the last 2 years creating a formal garden, using buxus, lavender cotton and old roses.

I am a potterer by nature and prefer to encourage my wife to do as much of the weeding as possible. I like standing around, contemplating grand schemes and occasionally implementing them. I used to dislike David Austin but I am gradually caving in to his empire. I am in a quandary about what to spray my roses with.
