This year(2003) I'm starting a formal garden, and a woodland garden. Update: it is now fall, and I'm still working on putting bricks in around the formal beds. I have no plantings yet, will probably lay out the bed design over winter. It's been a challenging summer!

I've got a little of everything in my gardens...roses, herbs, perennials and annuals, plus a veggie garden and fruit trees. My favorites are the old garden roses, which I do not winter protect.

My biggest challenge is placement of gardens, the way our property slopes off means there is nothing to frame any of the gardens, they don't abut anything.
