My front yard is a native wildflower meadow (with a separate daylily/oriental lily section and some bearded iris), with sages and agastaches down the side. The grass is tufted hairgrass. A prairie needs more grass than forbs, even though the wildflowers are so colorful.

The side yard is filled with veggies and herbs.

The backyard has a blue grama meadow lawn, seeded June 2003. Im hoping it grows well next year but Ive never done this before. The back corner of this yard is more of a meadow with purple needlegrass, calochortus bulbs, lupines, blazing star, birds eye gilia and a LOT of California poppies.

I love California native plants.
