I am a mad scientist gardener. I garden not only with standard plants, soil, and rocks but also with animals. I garden mostly with native plants and animals, but will plant the occasional non-native (especially at my suburban home).

My first garden was when I was three years old and consisted of a 2 foot square area with a bleeding heart in it. My childhood favorites were bleeding hearts, sunflowers, gourds, pumpkins, indian corn, carnivorous plants, wildflowers, vines, ferns and mosses.

I own several pieces of land in different zones. I am putting in a 1.5 acre lake on one of them. Complete with 30 foot diving cliff and waterfall. Jealous ... don't be it has been 5 hard years of work getting the thing to be finished.
