Facing the coming prospect of young middle age, I decided to forgo trading in my well trained and loving DH for a younger and wealthy stud muffin in favor of yard work and gardening. (Brilliant, eh?) I began by pruning all the trees and bushes in our overgrown yard. DH told me to put down the pruners and back away slowly, I laughed maniacally. Moved on to dividing the overgrown irises and daylillies. Completely removed some trees and bushes. Planted more. Planted perinnials by the dozens. Began to pay attention to the wild climing rose on the fence. Little did I know that I would become hooked on ROSES! Now spending valuable planting and rose care time on returning bottles and cans to support my rose habit. Will it ever end? Not while there is grass left to mow on my property!
