I m fairly new to gardening and I m excited to see what has grown well and what has not...roses are a constant challenge for me since my location is a very humid breeding ground for blackspot. But I keep trying different cultivars and have found some that do well with a couple of good feedings and dormant spray in the early spring. Roses are my babies (now that my real ones are grown); they are always hungry and thirsty and sometimes misbehave, but I love them anyway. My favorite style is cottage gardening--organized chaos seems to suit me well (in all areas of my life!). I love the abundance and the unexpected that cottage gardening brings. I really enjoy these forums, have learned so much, and gotten many good ideas to try. Thank you all. Gardeners are the best!
