I ve been gardening for over 20 years. I always do a little experimenting and have had some wonderful successes and colossal failures. My back yard is 90% beds and paths and 10% lawn...a fact I am sometimes proud of and other times I wonder-what was I thinking??? Fortunately, I can enjoy the garden and overlook the hoses that I rarely coil up, tools and empty pots that haven t been put away yet and a few tall weeds that somehow managed to escape me. Gardening has brought me things I didn t expect, like voles. If it weren t for voles, I would have never gotten a cat which has become my beloved calico kitty and most treasured garden ornament.
