I am new to gardening (2 yrs)and have a very shady lot. My 3 kids love to look at and run thru my gardens but hate to help. Oh well, I think I was the same way when I was young. We live in the foothills of the rocky mntns and enjoy the great outdoors even if its only our own backyard. I love working with native plants, but also want to keep my gardens unique from the neighbors. I adore perennails and have mostly that. I was raised in Canada were forest abound, so this semi-praire state of Colorado sort of through me for a loop. But I'm loving it here and enjoying the nice long growing seasons.
