Coming from a long line of gardeners, I love to dig in the dirt and document/photograph plants and gardens.

Soon after moving here, my husband and I, started adding flowering bushes and perennials. Then we started expanding beds and creating "outdoor rooms", for comfort and some for privacy.

We attend garden clubs sales and I go on digs, searching for transplants for our gardens where we grow a lot of roses and old-fashioned flowers, herbs and annuals to attract butterflies and birds.

I run a rescue mission for flowers. If one of my family members or friends no longer wants a plant I say "I'll take it!" I have introduced, varieties of Hosta, grape hyacinths,lily's, buttercups, prickly pear cactus and a few others, this way.

I enjoy organic gardening and the sound of trickling water is a must in my garden. It provides a peaceful feeling and is great for attracting wildlife.
