I'm a learning support assistant working with teenagers with special needs and behavioural problems. I also run arts projects in a prison and a hospice. My garden is my sanctuary!
I live in London, with a shady little patch of garden, heavy clay on one side, good, slightly acid shade on the other and an impossible dry bed at the end - trying to persuade neighbours to chop down the huge leylandii that is taking all the moisture from the soil.
I helped my mum garden as a child, and I still love it. My perfect weekend is buying plants on a Sunday morning from the Columbia Road market in the East End, followed by a curry on Brick Lane and then a browse round Atlantis art supplies warehouse.All subject to a lottery win!
Have lots of seeds, but so far have been pretty unlucky getting things to germinate! See my swap list, would love to trade for seedlings or, in the words of Blue Peter, something you prepared earlier.
This site is great, hope its the start of something beautiful....
