I grew up gardening, although I can't say I'm actually good at it. When I was a kid, my parents owned a greenhouse in northern Illinois from which we would sell all kinds of annuals, trees and shrubs. I would spend hours as a small child helping my dad prepare flats for seeding, watering, and selling the plants. Now I enjoy mostly perennials and learning to garden in California, obviously a much different geo. area than no. Illinois! My biggest challenge in gardening is having patience and second-guessing what I think is right.
