Hi folks, I have a small garden in an inner suburban terrace house in Melbourne. Most of my roses are in pots. I have about 50. (yes its an obsession!) I started off with a love affair with David Austin, well Ok just his roses. Then Alister Clarke grabbed my fancy, particularly Editor Stewart, Black boy and dear ol' Lorraine Lee. My latest affair has been with rugosas, despite their ferocious thorns. My grand plan is to move to the country some time soon and build the most magnificent rose garden possible, with poor granitic soil and not much rainfall! We have a small farm with 2000 olive trees so the demand for time and resources will be a challenge. The plan is for regosas to go all around the fences, and climbers all around the chook shed and veggie garden. Dream Dream Dream!!!
