I love collecting items from the 30s-50s, i.e., vintage tablecloths, depression glass, jadeite, cocktail related items, mystery and sci-fi pulp paperbacks, vintage posters, and general kitchen-related items from that era. I love prowling around flea markets and antique stores. I love to cook and to garden, growing mainly perennials. Ive been growing orchids for about 2 years now. I love music and movies, especially old "B" sci-fi and horror movies, off-beat things like John Waters films, etc. I love to read and have been known to finish a book in one sitting. I like anything to do with science and nature, and my DH and I have been learning a bit about astronomy and like to sit on our deck and stargaze when the weather allows. Pretty much if Im not gardening, Im reading, cooking, searching for a new kitschy 50s collectible, or watching a movie!
