I live in Southwestern LA (Loo-si-anna, that is) with my husband and 4 fuzzy-faced, 4-legged daughters (miniature schnauzers). I also have a daughter and son by a previous marriage; both of my bio-children are grown and married and each presented me with twin grandbabies (each has a boy/girl twin), in addition to other grandsons and granddaughters, My 2 step-daughters gave us 2 more granddaughters and 1 grandson for a grand total of 12!

Hubby and I have a heavy equipment business. Until this spring, we worked primarily for several nationally known timber companies in our area. I get to play with all the big boy toys, too, like our bulldozers, backhoe, big tractors, etc. We planted billions of pine seedlings each winter for the timber companies as well as individuals until this year, our last year of tree planting. We have also begun to grow watermelons commercially for the past 4 or 5 years. Im probably one of our biggest customers as I LOVE watermelons.

Ive gardened ever since I can remember and gardening is my sanity saver. I have 2+ acres in the yard, so still have a lot of room for more gardens, more plants. I love the old, "antique" roses, irises, and those good old staples of the south--gardenias and camellias. When Im not gardening or on the computer, I usually have a book in my hand and love reading, especially Stephen King, Dean Koontz, and the like.
