I'm a transplanted easterner who now loves the desert. I built my first pond in 1981, and started the Delaware Valley Water Garden Society in 1986. I also started a watergarden business that same year. In 1995 I sold the business and moved to Phoenix. I now live in southeastern Arizona and garden only for my own enjoyment.

My other passion is my birds. I have four cockatoos, a macaw, and a cockatiel.
