Oh my...there is so much to tell. Where do I begin?
I love gardening...love feeding anything that crawls, slithers, flies or jumps into the garden. I live in Los Angeles.
I love decorating the garden with fun objects and enjoy pot gardening, too.
I started feeding the hummers and the little ports where they could stand was used by larger brown birds. I don't know what kind they were.
Anyway...for fear that the larger birds might be harmed by the sugary water, I bought bird seed.....strange thing about that bird feeder....I noticed 2 large holes in it getting bigger every day. Then it happened I saw a critter upside down gnawing on the plastic feeder and making great progress. Yup...it was a squirrel. So now the grocery bill goes up by $20 a week for assorted nuts! Oh and then the blue jays thought they were invited, too!! And then came the demanding crows!!!!!!!!! They wanted in on the action.
The chain stopped there, thank God. Although the possums at night would hungrily look in at me through the slider.
Mind you, I live in the city not the country. But some animals have my name and number and are passing it around to other critters. I'm sure of it.
