I am joining to develop my knowledge of organic vegetable gardening and landscaping with perrenials, and perhaps aquire seeds or plants through trade. I have large black walnut trees with a high canopy and am searching for plants that will tolerate these conditions. I live in western New York State, zone 5. I am interested in a self sufficient, homesteading lifestyle, divorced with one 17 yr old and two dogs at home, work at a job as a graphic designer currently, but have dreams of working in the nursery business somehow.
