We moved to a new home and town in late winter of 2001. Since moving I've been working on getting rid of noxious weeds and Bermuda grass in the areas that I want to garden in. This year, 2003, will be a major planting year for me and already my old muscles are complaining.

Because we left extensive and well established gardens behind I started big with my plans, but can already see that I'm going to be expanding beds, borders, and islands in the future. I think that my husband already has an inkling that he's going to be losing more of his beloved grass.

I love to trade seeds but have gotten to the point that I'm starting to look for seeds other than the regular, more common type. In all fairness and honesty to my fellow traders, I tend to be rather slow about getting my end of trades out. Sometimes they'll be mailed out within a day or two of completing a trade, other times as much as two weeks. So PLEASE, be aware of this little quirk of mine when setting up a seed trade.

Over the years I've meet quite a few cyberspace friends (I've actually been a member for about 7-8 years) that have become as near and dear to me as my 'regular' friends and some have become family to me. I wouldn't trade these friendships for anything, even though we have yet to meet in person.
