What a delight to discover this site and these forums. Already, a wealth of knowledge has been shared that will help me and my family as we embark on the home building process. We are planning our forever home with information gathered over many years but it remains to be seen whether the budget will match the dreams. We are interested in energy and resource conservation but want a comfortable place to gather friends and family. I look forward to sharing our triumphs, trials and tales as well as taking the benefit of your gathered wisdom. We are building in south eastern Ontario, keeping ICF construction in mind with some innovative HVAC choices and if there is any money leftover, perhaps we'll get advice on paint colours. I expect a sense of humour will be paramount.
