New to this web-site. Love flower gardening. New to winter
sowing. Wish I could find more time to play in the dirt.
I have the personality to become a seed-a-holic! Good thing I dont drink alcohol :) Thanks for letting a newbie join the circle.
I had an amazing thing happen. Ive been saving old seeds for a number of years. No time...no space...divorce...lots of moves etc., but I always wanted to plant and grow these beautiful flowers I had bought in seed packets. Two weeks ago I opened a packed of "daydream" cosmos seeds I have had forEVER! The packet date is 1993! I winter sowed some and just as an experiment put a few in a moist paper towel & baggie. Would you believe that three of the little cosmos seeds have sprouted in the paper towel? They are over ten years old and still came to life. Its a small miracle for me.Im totally excited. Nature is a wonder and a marvel.
