Have recently retired from over 30 years teaching at Queensland University to a small town located in the wet tropics of FNQ with distinct wet/dry seasons. Establishing a garden, somewhat undermined (literally and metaphorically) by the depredations of scrub turkeys, bandicoots and echidnas. I have planted many host plants for the local butterfly species that include the stunning iridescent blue Ulysses (Papilio ulysses)and the Cairns Birdwing(Ornithoptera priamus). Can't wait for the Wet to start and the frogs to start breeding and the plants powering ahead!
