I am a RN and artist. I love to read and garden. I have had vegetable/herb gardens since childhood but I am really itching to make my backyard an oasis. I do not know much about flower garden... except roses. I have lived in Central AL for about 8 years. Having grown up in Central IL, it was quite a shock to find out my huge back yard was full of chirt and that I am unable to dig a single hole! I had such plans. Well, I am looking forward to learning ways around the chirt and I am looking forward to my vegetables and herbs. Would love to meet other gardeners in the area.
