My family consists of myself, my partner Dan and our two Jack Russell Terrors.

We're currently in the process of buying a new home and need to make choices on flooring, cabinets, etc. Its a 2200 Sq foot Rancher with a full basement - covered front porch and covered back porch. We'll have a geothermal heating/cooling systems.

In college I earned a BS degree in Biology, concentration in Botany, with a minor in Environmental Studies. Unfortunately that is not my job, but is now my hobby. In my real job I'm a computer specialist for a USA Government Agency. I've always liked gardening, and in my new home I'll have 1.38 acres to experiment! It should be a lot of fun.
