New to Ottawa,Ontario, and still figuring out what will work here. New to the wide expanse of suburban lawn, too, and just in time for fatal grub attacks. Groundcovers and nice but low maintenance design for the front are my current preoccupations. I knew the tall grass prairie materials fairly well at one point, but was a bit relieved to move away from the garden into which I so enthusiastically planted them: most of what I chose was extremely invasive. Gardening had turned into a bit of a wrestling match with a lot of yellow for most of the summer. So I'm looking for other colours, slow moving plants with low water requirements - we shall see. Looking forward to this garden list.
