Hi. I am married, mother of 2, grandmother of one, with another on the way. When I first retired on disability, I joined GardenWeb, then later dropped out because I had taken up genealogy. My husband took a dim view of my spending all my waking hours when not outdoors on the computer for either gardening or genealogy research, so one had to go.

Now that our life is more settled and we have just moved into a new house, I have more time for both gardening AND genealogy. The house supposedly came "professionally landscaped." Ha! The builder of course took off all the topsoil so much work is to be done, both amending the soil and planning the landscape. I have some really great ideas, but a working husband, a physical disability (bad, bad back), and limited funds will make progress slower than I'd like.
I'm glad to be back at Garden Web; it's interesting to see how it's grown since 1995!
