Hi, I am not much of a gardener, but came here to get help with my leggy impatiens. We have a back yard shaded by neighbor's trees that has turned to moss and has ruined our bermuda grass. We're getting ready to replace a lot of the previously grassy areas with brickwork and wider flower beds. We may be here for LOTS of advice. Needless to say, it gets up to 112 here in Bakersfield in the summer and we got a freeze now and then in the winter.
