I'm passionate about gardening! I've learned a lot since moving into my first house in May 1999. I grow cut flowers in my backyard to sell at a nearby farmers' market. I have two small beds of perennials for cutting and several beds of annuals for cutting.

Some of my favorite annuals for cutting include:

Zinnias: Benary's Giant, State Fair, Sunshine Mixture, Enchantress, Purple Prince
Rocket snaps: Various colors
Cosmos: Versailles Tetra, Picotee, Psyche
Strawflowers: Apricot/Peach Mix, Victorian Blush
Basil: African Blue
Celosia: Cramer's Rose, Cramer's Burgundy, Cramer's Amazon, Punky Red, Forest Fire (trying new ones this year, too)
Rudbeckia: Double Gold, Indian Summer
Scabiosa: Ace of Spades
Sunflower: Valentine, Henry Wilde (still trying to find the best match for my bouquets)
Dianthus: Melody Pink, Bouquet Purple (trying Amazon Neon Duo also this year; awaiting blooms)
Ageratum: Red Top
