we have finally signed with an architect. we plan on breaking ground in may 2007 in the columbia river gorge-one hour east of portland oregon. we are building an energy efficient (structurally insulated panel (sips)) home. we are going to owner build with a construction manager. i am a certified house nut (name given to me by my kids) and love anything to do with new and old houses. this forum takes up way too much of my time but i consider it to be time well spent. everyone is so generous with their ideas and sources and i hope to add to this forum.
