My dad was part of the "back to the land" movement in the 70's and we were almost completely self-sufficient, growing our own food. Now I live in an urban area in the northern part of the state and gardening is so much more pleasurable! It's like therapy for me, I get cranky if I don't get to dig in the dirt once in a while.

I love gardening, everything from moving mulch to weeding to puttering around and deadheading. I only really know organic gardening, it was how I was raised. I have tried some chemicals but really didn't find that the results were worth it.

I'm married to a wonderful man who doesn't know a weed from a rock and couldn't care less, he'd rather be fishing! I have a 14 year old son and a 2 year old son.
