I live in Georgia and have been working at amending my soil for 6 years now. I love perennials, vegetables, herbs and anything that attracts birds. I wear hearing aids and when I'm in my garden I am so grateful to hear the birds.
My husband says I can plant anything I want as long as I never ever plant corn in the front yard again. He came home years ago and I had tilled up alongside the driveway to plant corn and peppers. I am learning about composting and organic gardening. Now if I could just get up the nerve to ask a farmer for manure!
