I am an arist, formerly working in textiles, now drawing and possibly soon painting. I love anything I can do manually and that includes gardening, which to me recalls happy times in the sandbox. It grounds me, sorry no pun intended. I first started gardening in the French Alps and am interested in any information I can get for that area as well as Holland, where I am currently living. I have a dog and cat, both very sweet. I am a slave to them both and my dog goes almost everywhere with me. I love to see them in warm weather in my litlle garden and they like to "help" when they can. Although the cat thinks helping is digging up my bulbs! I plant enough so she can dig up a few if it amuses her. The dog is always interested in what I'm planting and willing to help digging if I pretend there might be a bone at the end! Luckily, he only does this when I initiate the search. My husband isn't much into working in the garden but enjoys as much as I do all the growth and changes in it.
