I dream of turning my yard into an escape from the world and I am slowing developing plans and buying plants. In the two years my husband and I have lived in this house I have relandscaped around the entire house. Every year I have to rebuy at least one plant due to winter losses. Eventually I will find what works where. This year is seeing much growth in my two year old shrubs. I am encouraged. The very first thing I did when I moved in was redo my herb garden. I have always had one, but the last two hard winters have taken their toll and I now am the proud owner of a single sage BUSH. So my herb garden is now a garden of potted annuals and orphaned/sick perennials. I have always worked at a local greenhouse and I take home a lot of returned plants needing a little TLC.

I am now planning a moon garden in and around my hammock swing set. The previous owners had an wooden swing set and I decided to hang my three hammock chairs from it. How I love my hammocks...(ren. festival buys)

Interested in my interests? Here you go. I love history, mythology, goddesses, animals, herblore, naturopathy/homeopathy, fountains/ponds/water gardens, world travel, reading, hanging in my hammocks and just escaping to my own world. That pretty much sums it up.

I want my yard to be my place to escape to, to dream in and to bring my friends to. I am not the world's best housekeeper and I have a million animals, so I'd rather have an outdoor place to entertain friends in. Besides, who really wants to be indoors anyway? Houses are for sleeping and for hibernating in: )
