I'm a frustrated horticulture major who had to face the reality of making living versus digging in the dirt for a living. That was 27 years ago but at least now I can play in the dirt and eat! Due to southern drought and water restrictions I tend to utilize container gardening and that's where my other passion comes in because I'll put a flower or plant in darn near anything. That brings me to junking. My home is truly a recycler's model home. Dumps, junk stores, flea markets, trash picking - I just love recuing the flotsom and jetsom of other peoples' lives and turning it into a unique garden piece.
