I have been a professional gardener, specializing in japanese-style gardening for close to 20 years in the damp Pacific Northwest. Unfortunately for my family, gardening is also my hobby. As a result, I fiddle with plants 24-7! My kids favorite question is "Daddy, why do you love plants so much?" I just tell them "they don't poop or talk back". I am especially interested in woodland gardening, native plants/ethnobotany, and Pacific Coast Indian art and culture. But... always game for new color schemes and playing with textures--as well as pushing hardiness ratings. Currently renting so my garden is all in pots! Did I mention my children hate watering?!
